General Motors India, is all set to launch its much expected Chevrolet Beat Diesel in India soon. 2011 Chevrolet Beat Diesel will feature a 1.0 litre three cylinder , turbocharged common rail diesel engine pumping out about 57 Bhp and 140 Nm of torque.
General Motors India’s president and managing director recently has said that the new 2011 Chevrolet Beat Diesel would costlier by 10-15% of it’s petrol variant. Also high fuel efficiency would be a major feature of the new Chevrolet Beat Diesel.
Once Chevrolet Beat Diesel is launched in India, it will surely help GM India to increase their numbers and help them grow as a market in lead in that segment. Chevrolet Beat Diesel would be manufactured in the Talegaon manufacturing plant in Pune and this plant can manufacture 1.60 lakh units Chevrolet Beat Diesel in a year.
Once Chevrolet Beat Diesel is launched it will be cheapest Diesel hatchback in India.

The Chevrolet Beat Diesel is expected to priced in India in the range of Rs.3.9 lakhs to Rs 5.lakhs for top variant.
